The Tourism Department, Gilgit-Baltistan informs tourists, visitors, transport operators, and the general public that the Jaglot–Skardu Road (JSR) has been temporarily closed to all types of traffic after heavy flooding and strong water currents washed away the temporary bridge near Sasi Haramosh.
The road currently remains inaccessible, and travel between Gilgit and Skardu through this route has been suspended until further notice. Relevant authorities are actively engaged in restoration work to rebuild the damaged structure and restore safe traffic movement at the earliest.
According to preliminary assessments, restoration efforts may take approximately two days, subject to weather conditions and site circumstances.
